| The Buildings Group has worked closely with conservation architects and historic building consultants on schemes where the specific characteristics of the original buildings are to be maintained. Design work on projects has included concealing modern structural strengthening works within the fabric of the building which in many cases includes radical change in use of the original structure. Roughan & O'Donovan carry out structural inspections and prepare condition survey reports for historic and listed buildings. On the basis of these inspections due consideration is given to justify any proposed structural interventions |
