The N9 / N10 Kilcullen to Waterford Scheme is a 110km motorway. Roughan & O’Donovan – FaberMaunsell (now AECOM) Alliance provided services on all sections of the scheme including the statutory procedures for the 63km section between Kilcullen and Powerstown.

This scheme includes five grade separated junctions, forty road crossings and other river crossings.Environmental services included the preparation of the Constraints Study, Route Selection Report, EIS and delivery through oral hearing. The preliminary design avoided most significant constraints through a robust route selection process, acquiring just one residential property and affecting just one newly designated cSAC.

The Oral Hearing was concluded in 8 days and the scheme received approval from An Bord Pleanála with only minor conditions.
