  • With three to seven years' post qualification experience

Essential qualifications and skills

Bridge engineers

  • A minimum of a Level 8 honours degree in civil/structural engineering
  • Fluent or highly proficient in spoken and written English
  • Flexible, motivated and focused
  • Strong technical knowledge and engineering skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce quality design outputs

Engineering technicians 

  • A minimum of an appropriate Level 7 degree or three years' relevant experience
  • Fluent or highly proficient in spoken and written English
  • Flexible, motivated and focused
  • Strong technical knowledge and engineering skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce quality design outputs

Desirable

Engineers

  • Proficiency in bridge modelling and design software
  • Experience of bridge design, assessment and inspection
  • Working knowledge of Eurocodes in the field of bridge design
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Experience of working in a multidisciplinary environment with tight deadlines
  • Chartered engineer or working towards chartered status with a recognised professional body

Engineering technicians

  • Civil and structural detailing skills
  • Good knowledge of AutoCAD, CADS RC, Civil 3D, Revit, BIM and software interoperability
