About the role

You will supervise the ground investigation contract along the proposed route of the N5 Ballaghaderreen to Scramogue road scheme, which consists of 33km of new Type 1 single carriageway and 15.4km of realignment of existing roads.

Requirements

  • A degree in engineering (Level 8 qualification in the National Framework of Qualifications) or equivalent
  • At least five years’ postgraduate experience, including a minimum of three years’ combined experience in the role of resident engineer (or equivalent) on civil engineering projects
  • Experience in administering the Public Works forms of contract
  • Experience in the supervision of ground investigation contracts

Desirable

  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations
  • Experience in preparing clear and concise reports
  • Experience in managing the procedures and systems for accurate record-keeping and claims management
  • Chartered engineer status (CEng MIEI or equivalent)
