Job Type:  Full-time permanent

Location:  Sandyford, Dublin 18

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining our ICT systems and infrastructure
  • Installing new and existing hardware and software across the network
  • Providing technical support for all users, including those in remote locations
  • Monitoring and solving logged calls
  • Setting up workstations, laptops, mobile devices, printers etc.
  • Liaising with external vendors and third-party services providers
  • Contributing to the continual enhancement of our IT and support services
  • Installing, configuring and supporting hardware/software and related infrastructure
  • Dealing with queries on the ICT helpdesk
  • Managing the roll-out of software updates/patches for servers and desktops
  • Monitoring the backup environment
  • Configuring and setting up audiovisual equipment for staff meetings and events
  • IT hardware and software inventory management
  • Day-to-day operation of the network
  • General trouble-shooting
  • Moving IT equipment around the office

Qualifications and experience

  • Five years’ experience of on-site, face-to-face, deskside IT support
  • Exposure to server environments
  • Qualification in IT/computing or currently working towards a qualification
  • Exposure to and knowledge of Microsoft Operating systems, including Windows 7/10
  • Exposure to and knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Office 365  
  • Basic working knowledge of networking components and protocols
  • Proven track record of troubleshooting an advantage

  • An understanding of the business impact of ICT systems and devices
