ROD Bridges is the largest bridge design team in Ireland and are widely acknowledged as the leading bridge designers in the country. Our skills in designing landmark yet cost-effective structures have attracted the attention of international clients and progressively more of the ROD Bridges commissions are for international projects. Notable Irish projects include award-winning cable-stayed structures such as the M1 Motorway Boyne River Bridge near Drogheda and the William J Dargan Bridge in Dublin.
Other completed signature bridges include the James Joyce and Samuel Beckett bridges across the River Liffey in Dublin, where we worked as local consultant for Santiago Calatrava.
ROD Bridges has provided design services for cable-stayed, incremental launch, balanced cantilever, Extrados, stressed ribbon and suspension bridges and has won multiple awards for design excellence from representative groups such as the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland, the Irish Concrete Society, the Institution of Structural Engineers and Construction Employers Federation Northern Ireland.
ROD Bridges International portfolio currently extends to the UK, Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, North and Central America and the Middle East and Far East.
