About the role
You will join a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team with an impressive track record of delivering transportation projects for upgraded rail lines, light railways, motorways, public transport facilities, rural roads, greenways, cycleway and pedestrian schemes across Ireland and the UK.
Our team has the experience and skills to cover the full life cycle of transport assets, from initial investigations and modelling, through construction management, to the maintenance of transport networks.
Current and recent projects include:
- Clontarf to City Centre Project
- BusConnects Dublin
- enhancing Motorway Operations Services Programme
- West Clare Railway Greenway
- Cork Area Commuter Rail Programme (CACR)
- DART+ West (Maynooth Line Upgrade)
Essential
- A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (Level 8 in the National Framework of Qualifications or equivalent)
- At least one to two years’ design or construction experience in civil engineering projects
- Experience in preparing technical reports, such as Option Selection Reports, Design Reports and Environmental Impact Assessment Reports
- A good knowledge of Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) Publications or the Highways England Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB)
- Basic knowledge of planning application processes
- Experience in implementing quality procedures and records
- Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Fluency/high level of proficiency in spoken and written English
- Ability to work in a team environment
- A strong work ethic
Desirable
- A master’s degree in civil engineering (Level 9 in the National Framework of Qualifications or equivalent)
- Working towards achieving chartered membership of a recognised professional body in the engineering sector
- Competency in AutoCAD
- Knowledge of the Design Manual for Urban Roads and Streets (DMURS); the Traffic Signs Manual; and the Cycle Design Manual
