Transforming Dublin's historic core and delivering a welcoming, pedestrian-friendly space in the heart of the city
The College Green Dame Street Public Realm project aims to create a safer, greener and more inclusive public realm that celebrates the area’s heritage while enhancing accessibility, sustainability, and vibrancy for all who live in, work in, or visit the city.
The project will revitalise the historic heart of Dublin – College Green – transforming it into a vibrant, attractive destination for everyone to enjoy and a space that provides not only a place to shop, work, gather and celebrate, but also a space to pause, breathe and connect.
ROD is project manager and engineer (in JV with Civic) for the multidisciplinary team appointed by Dublin City Council to design and deliver the project. Led by Scott Tallon Walker Architects and OKRA, the team also includes urban planners, lighting designers, heritage experts and community engagement specialists amongst others.
The project will be co-funded by the National Transport Authority.
