Congratulations to our colleague, Daire Ó Riagáin, who was conferred as a fellow of Engineer Ireland, the professional membership body for engineers in Ireland, last Thursday. Fellowship of the institution is conferred to “highly skilled professionals who help shape, influence and inspire both engineers and the future of the engineering industry.”

Daire was recently appointed as a technical director at ROD and has also become our newest shareholder. From joining us as an assistant resident engineer in 2010, Daire has progressed to play a central role in our business. He is currently undertaking the role of Employer’s Representative under the Public Works Contracts for several projects, including the Athy Distributor Road, the Clontarf to City Centre Project, Whitegates to Athlone Castle Cycleway Link, and the eMOS Programme M50 ITS Deployment Contract.

Speaking after the conferring ceremony, Daire said, “Becoming part of this distinguished community of engineers is a great honour, and I look forward to supporting others as they work towards achieving this important professional milestone.”

We would like to wish all those who received their Registered Professional Titles last week the very best in their careers.
