About the role
As an experienced bridge engineering technician, you will play an integral role in the delivery of our bridge and multidisciplinary projects. You will be supported throughout by our teams in the UK and Ireland.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Production of engineering models, drawings and details for various types of bridges, retaining walls, culverts and other civil structures
- Preparation of conceptual design and detailed design drawings
- Performance of the role of project technician on multidisciplinary projects
- Review of steel fabrication drawings and shop drawings
- Delivery of high-quality engineering drawings in a timely manner
- Guidance and mentorship of junior colleagues

Essential
- A minimum of a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in civil engineering or equivalent and/or hold EngTech or IEng with the ICE or IStructE
- A minimum of seven years of relevant experience of modelling and drafting of bridge and civil structures
- Proficient in AutoCAD, CADS-RC, and structural steelwork detailing
- Fluent or highly proficient in spoken and written English
- Flexible, motivated and focused
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce high quality drawings
- A strong work ethic
- Comfortable working in a busy work environment with tight deadlines
Desirable
- Experience in 3D modelling using AutoCAD or other suitable software
- Proficiency in a range of software packages, such as Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks
