About the role

You will join a team of transportation experts providing integrated transportation planning and design services across road, rail, bus rapid transit, cycleway and pedestrian schemes. 

Our team has the experience and skills to cover the full life cycle of transport assets - from early-stage investigations and modelling, through construction management, to ongoing asset maintenance. 

We deploy state-of-the-art traffic and transport modelling technologies to support informed, resilient and sustainable transport solutions.

Current and recent projects include:

Essential

  • Honours degree in civil engineering (minimum Level 8 qualification in the National Framework of Qualifications or equivalent)
  • Eight to 15 years’ postgraduate experience in the civil engineering sector
  • Minimum of five years’ direct experience in design for transportation projects
  • Chartered membership of a recognised professional body in the engineering sector
  • Knowledge of UK/Irish design standards e.g. DMRB, Manual for Streets, LTN 1/20, MCHW, etc.
  • Experience of preparing detailed works contract specifications
  • Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Ability to produce quality design outputs
  • Comfortable working in a busy work environment with tight deadlines
  • Aptitude for problem-solving
  • Flexible, motivated and focused
  • Keen to learn and develop
  • Good organisational skills
  • A strong work ethic 
  • Fluent or highly proficient in spoken and written English

Desirable

  • Knowledge of 3D roads design software e.g. Openroads, MX and Civil 3D
  • Knowledge of Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) and National Transport Authority (NTA) project management guidelines
