About the role
As a technician in our roads/transportation team, you will primarily support urban transport and light rail projects, particularly at interfaces with road/pedestrian infrastructure.
While experience in light rail is desirable, it is not essential, and candidates with a background in transport design are encouraged to apply.
Essential
- A minimum of a relevant Level 6 higher certificate
- A minimum of three years’ relevant experience in developing drawing outputs for transportation projects
- Good technical knowledge and engineering skills
- Flexible, motivated and focused
- Excellent attention to detail
- Capable of producing quality design outputs
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD
- A desire to learn and develop
- Comfortable working in a busy work environment
- Fluent or highly proficient in spoken and written English
Desirable
- Knowledge of Irish Design Standards e.g. DMRB, DMURS, National Cycle Manual
- Experience with 3D roads design software e.g. Openroads, MX, Civil 3D
- Experience of working within a BIM environment
- Experience of liaising with clients and stakeholders, including service and utility companies
- Experience on light rail projects
