Marcin Nikonowicz joined ROD in 2019. He has over 22 years’ experience in the design and delivery of bridge and civil engineering structures for major road and light rail infrastructure projects. Prior to joining ROD, he held consultancy roles at RPS and Jacobs Gibb.
A Chartered Engineer, Marcin boasts extensive expertise in concrete, steel and composite bridge design. He led the structural design and delivery of the George’s Dock Luas Bridge Replacement Project in Dublin, which won an ACEI Engineering Excellence Award in 2026. He also delivered detailed designs for several medium‑span, composite river bridges on the A6 Dungiven to Drumahoe Dualling scheme in Northern Ireland, which was awarded a BREEAM Infrastructure Excellent Whole Project Award in 2024.
