Patrick joined ROD in 2015. An experienced ecologist and project manager, he has a strong track record of delivering complex ecological assessments for conservation projects and major infrastructure developments across Ireland.
Patrick works closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop high-quality projects with minimal impacts on biodiversity. He has experience across all stages of project delivery, from scoping, baseline ecological surveys and assessment through to regulatory approvals including Appropriate Assessment (AA).
Patrick is an expert in guiding clients through ecological and environmental legislation, helping projects achieve planning and regulatory compliance while delivering positive outcomes for nature. His recent project work includes leading the ecological inputs on DART+ West, the Dublin Mountains Visitor Centre, the A6 Dungiven to Drumahoe dualling scheme and the West Clare Railway Greenway (Section 1 Kilrush to Kilkee). He is also leading the delivery of Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) assessments on several schemes using the Transport Infrastructure Ireland BNG metric.
